WHAT WAS GOD'S PURPOSE IN CREATION? In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, not as a random act, but with a divine purpose and perfect order (Genesis 1:1). Every day of creation reflected intentionality: light, land, life, and mankind were all formed by His Word. The purpose was clear: to prepare a place where His children could learn, grow, and become like Him, Moses 1:39.

Key Doctrinal Principles: God is the Creator and Sustainer of life. Humans are created in God's image, Genesis 1:26-27, with divine potential. Creation reflects God’s love, wisdom, and eternal plan. The world is sacred and should be treated with stewardship and reverence.

How Do We See God’s Purpose Today? From the ordered beauty of the earth to the complexity of the human mind, God’s fingerprints remain evident in all creation. Science may explain the “how,” but only faith explains the “why.” As Latter-day Saints and Christians, we know that: We are not accidents of nature but intentional creations of a loving Father. Our bodies, minds, and environments are gifts for learning eternal truths. Jesus Christ was present in the creation, John 1:1-3, and through Him, all things were made. When we understand creation, we understand our worth, our purpose, and our accountability before God.

What Should Happen in Your Life? Clear Takeaways for Readers. 1. See yourself as God sees you divine child with infinite worth. 2. Honor your body and environment as sacred gifts from a holy Creator. 3. Use each day purposefully, just as God designed creation purposefully. 4. Start your day with intentional prayer or scripture study to align your life with divine order. "The same God who created the universe is mindful of you today."
